1. The Person I chose to read about is named Madam C.J Walker, but her birth name is Sarah Breedlove. She was born on a Louisiana cotton plantation, but her parents died and left her an orphan at 7. She was married at 14, Her husband died at 20, leaving her alone with a 2 year old daughter. She then descided to move to St. Louis and start a line of hair care products. The compony became very succesful, and by 1916, her compony had at least 20,000 male and female agents. I found this story very interesting, because even though she was a widow, former slave, and single mother, she still managed to become very successful.2. Would not work
3. I read about the Springfield Race Riot of 1908, and it happened as you can probably guess, in 1908. It started with black people moving to Springfield to get jobs. It caused lots of tension between races, so a riot broke out. It doesnt say what happened to those who started the riot, but I think they deserve harsh punishment.
